  • Yes. If you plan to bring high powered equipment, please contact us beforehand and we’ll check the power setup for your booking.

  • Yes. the facility provide a separate female and male toilets. These are shared with other building users.

  • Yes. Free WiFi is available for the duration of your booking.

  • Yes. We can arrange assistants for shoots. Contact us before your booking to discuss the type of assistant and rates.

  • We offer lighting assistance and can help with the initial setup. Any work beyond the initial setup will be charged at the lighting assistant rate.

  • Yes. We build custom sets to your specifications. Tell us the style you need and we’ll provide a direct quote.

  • Yes. the facility has disabled access.

  • Payment can be made via card payment or link. Payment details appear on the bottom of your invoice. You can also book directly through the studio hire form on our website.

  • Overtime is possible subject to studio availability. Extra time must be paid at the time it is required via card, bank transfer, or a new booking through the hire form.

  • The quickest way to check availability is to complete the booking form on the studio hire page for live, up to date slots.

  • The minimum booking slot is 2 hours.

  • All setup and pack down must take place within your booking slot. Please allow enough time in your booking to set up and pack away.

  • Out of hours bookings are available. Contact us with your requirements.

  • Rebooking and cancellation fees apply based on notice given:

    ·       7 days’ notice: rebooking fee equal to 10% of booking fee.

    ·       3 days (72 hours) notice: cancellation fee equal to 50% of total booking fee.

    ·       Less than 3 days: cancellation fee equal to 100% of total booking fee.

  • Dogs are allowed if controlled at all times. Any mess or damage caused by a dog is the responsibility of the booker to clean or repair.

  • ARA Studio is located just outside Birmingham city centre on the edge of Aston. We are minutes from the M6 junction 6 and close to the Aston Expressway and Dartmouth Circus roundabout.

  • When you arrive at The Telson Centre, please buzz up to ARA Studio or contact your booking point of contact. A team member will meet you and help with equipment if needed.

  • There is free roadside parking outside the studio and a loading bay for large equipment.

  • We do not offer long term storage. Please only leave equipment that is provided by the studio during your booking.

  • The studio is in an industrial area with limited nearby eateries. There is an Aldi a short drive away. We regularly work with a catering company and can help arrange food for long bookings. Deliveroo and Uber Eats also deliver to the studio.

  • Yes. We provide up to four Bowens flash heads with any available modifiers. If you need specific kit, contact us before booking.

  • We work closely with local kit hire companies and can point you in the right direction or help source what you need.

  • We offer multiple backdrop colours. Check the studio hire page for current stock as availability can change. Backdrops soiled during your shoot will be charged at £10 per metre.

  • Yes. A product table and dedicated product space are available for shoots.

  • Yes. We have a lit makeup area with a desk and multiple stools.

  • Yes. A standard steamer is available with any booking.

  • Yes. We provide rails and a selection of hangers for use during your booking.
